Design is intelligence made visible. It is the discipline of organizing information to create clarity, emotion, and action.

The Pillars

Typography

The voice of text. Choosing the right typeface evokes authority, playfulness, or elegance before a single word is read.

Color Theory

Psychology of hue.

White Space

The art of nothing.

The Grid

Order from chaos.

Contrast & Legibility

WARNING: THIS IS A VISUAL NIGHTMARE.
Status: Critical Failure

Color combinations must have sufficient mathematical contrast for the human eye to easily distinguish letterforms from their background.

Why this works:Yellow on pink has a contrast ratio of roughly 1.5:1. Web Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) require at least 4.5:1 for normal text. When contrast fails, the eye strains to find the edges of the letters.

Anatomy of Type

Analysis logic is canonical. Macro guidelines apply universally. Micro-points are hard-mapped for 'R' example.

From Bauhaus
to Browser

Modern design began in 1919 at the Bauhaus School in Germany. They taught that "Form Follows Function"—stripping away decoration to reveal the essence of the object.

Today, these principles govern the digital world. The grid systems of Swiss posters became the CSS Grids of web design. The clarity of Helvetica became the utility of UI fonts like Inter and Roboto.
